Annual Cavalcade of Antique Cars Event Planned For June 9

   The Lawrence County Classic Car Club and the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce once again present the county-long parade of antique cars known as the Cavalcade of Antique Cars.

   The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the northern portion of Lawrence County at Tietgens’ Super Rama, located on U.S. Highway 43 north. The parade will wind through the county, ending along Highway 43 South, at the St. Joseph Civic Center.

   “Cruise-in” sites where participants may display cars and/or join the parade will be established at Ethridge Church of Christ, Chapparral Restaurant and First Farmers & Merchants National Bank in Loretto.

   Residents are invited to attend the parade festivities in St. Joseph. Bring a lawn chair and set up anywhere along the route.

   All cars must be 1981 or before. Trophies will be presented for “oldest car,” “longest distance driven,” car club with most participants, and “Roughest Thang Running.”
